New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms PAC (NYCFPAC), New York’s Christian conservative political action committee, is pleased to announce its support for Asm. Claudia Tenney (R-New Hartford) in her bid for New York’s 22nd Congressional District seat. Rev. Jason J. McGuire, Executive Director of NYCFPAC, made the following comments:

Asm. Claudia Tenney is clearly the right choice in NY-22. During her tenure in the New York State Assembly, Asm. Tenney has taken principled stands by voting against the SAFE Act, late-term abortion expansion and taxpayer funding of campaigns; she has also demonstrated conservative leadership by sponsoring the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, along with a bill to repeal the SAFE Act. The Assemblywoman has also spoken out against casino expansion and in favor of additional protections for victims of human trafficking and religious liberty.”

“Before being elected to the Assembly in 2010, Asm. Tenney held various positions as an attorney, businesswoman, foreign correspondent, Assembly staffer, and radio and television host. The Assemblywoman holds degrees from Colgate University and the Taft College of Law at the University of Cincinnati, and is admitted to practice law in three states and before the Supreme Court of the United States. Asm. Tenney’s qualifications for service in Congress on behalf of Central New York voters are outstanding.”

Rev. McGuire continued, “In 2014, Asm. Tenney nearly upset Rep. Hanna in a Republican congressional primary. Residents of Central New York certainly deserve better congressional representation than Rep. Hanna has been offering them, and Asm. Claudia Tenney is just the person to provide that representation. NYCFPAC looks forward to helping send Asm. Tenney to Washington, and we invite like-minded New Yorkers to support her campaign.”
